I have discoverd that I do not like Mr. Whites writing style so this is a very biased review. I am sure many people love this series, I tried and it is not me. Read Lee Childs series about Jack Reacher, much better.

If you are looking at this review, you most be new to Randy Wayne White’s Doc Ford. That’s ok, join the crowd, Doc Ford adventures are great. Great beach reads, great Florida reads, good stories and oh, so great of characters around Dinkins Bay. Doc is a marine biologist with a past life as a government agent. In this book he is off to save a friend and the Sanibel Island area. try White and you will be hooked. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Start with SANIBEL FLATS, the first story, you will soon be here with this one.

This is my first Randy Wayne White book. I had more good laughs reading this book than any other previously that I can remember. His villain, Karl Sutter, is absolutely hilarious. I found many of his other characters interesting, too; None were bland. The plot wasn’t goofy which, I find, most mysteries are. This one had just enough mystery and kept you wondering, whodunit? I definitely plan to read another one of his books as soon as I get the time!

Just another good book by a good author…read ‘em all and all are full of adventure and fun…what more can we readers ask for our money?
Hope readers feel the same about my books.

I love the character who is much more than he appears to be. Very smooth reading, captures your attention with twists and turns, and for me a very exciting end.
