On the router I can’t find the wep key for a odd reason and another method is to save the network settings on a flash drive and connect that way. How do I recieve the network settings? Im using a computer already connected to the network so how do I recieve the settings?

The settings are those that were established at the time the the router was set up. So who ever set it up knows the settings. Ask them and just enter them into the machine making access

Your WEP key (note: in the future, move to WPA, WEP is almost useless) is a password that is “masked” in your network properties, so the only way you can find it is to log on to the router and change it.
I’m not sure what you mean by “receive the network settings” and “save them on a flash drive.” Are you using Linux? You might be able to save your settings to a text file using ifconfig (Windows has ipconfig), but this won’t give you your network password.
I don’t get it. Why do so many people think computer security is a joke, and can be cracked just by clicking a button?
